Accessibility statement
Manhattan Fitnessanlagen GmbH is working to make its website accessible and usable for as many people as possible. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.2, Level AA, as our technical reference. This statement describes the current status, measures taken and known limitations.
Website services and how to use them
Our website provides information about the Manhattan Clubs, training and wellness facilities, group classes, weekly schedules and contact options. Forms allow you to make non-binding inquiries, for example about a trial session or membership. These forms do not conclude a contract or process a payment; our sales team contacts interested visitors regarding any contract.
Accessibility measures
Following a technical assessment and subsequent improvements, we have addressed the following areas in particular:
- keyboard operation, visible focus indicators and focus management during page changes and in dialogs;
- form labels, identification of required fields, understandable error messages and technical messages in German and English;
- cookie selection and operation of the related settings;
- layouts on small screens, text wrapping and use with magnification;
- headings, page structure and image descriptions;
- text and user interface contrast;
- keyboard operation of the class schedule, class slider and interactive floor plans;
- playback controls for decorative videos and support for preferences that reduce motion.
This page also provides settings for adjusting the presentation. These supplement the accessibility measures; enabling them should not be necessary for basic use of the website.
Current status and remaining limitations
Full conformance of all content and interaction states with WCAG 2.2 AA has not yet been conclusively established.
Some linked PDF documents, particularly job descriptions, have not yet been prepared in a fully accessible format. Please contact us if you need their contents in a format accessible to you.
A final practical assessment using real screen reader and browser combinations, and a comprehensive assessment of all changing photographic and video backgrounds, are still pending. These are outstanding checks and do not automatically mean that the related functions are inaccessible.
This statement covers the website. The separately offered Manhattan app and external services were not fully assessed as part of this website review.
Assessment and updates
This statement was prepared on 11 October 2026, based on an internal technical assessment. The assessment included automated inventories, manual checks of page structure and presentation, keyboard and functional tests, and documented follow-up checks and confirmations after corrections.
Reports of accessibility barriers are forwarded internally for technical or editorial review. Necessary improvements are incorporated into further development. This statement will be updated when there are material changes to the assessment status.
